An information design project I worked on as a Research Assistant under Katayoun Chamany (Professor of Biology, Eugene Lang College The New School for Liberal Arts) and Lisa Rubin (Professor of Psychology, The New School for Social Research). The objective was to create a visual guide to Preimplantation Genetic Diagnosis for BRCA1 and BRCA2 mutated gene carriers. Together we created a 28 page book + a website for distribution to patients and Genetic Counselors.

A Visual Guide to BRCA and PGD
Illustrations of babies and woman provided by Chelsea Briganti
Represents the different stages of the IVF, PGD, and PND procedures. The outer circle shows the order of the stages paired with an explanation and the approximate time span each of them takes. The inner circle shows the stage of development of the child at each period. The "+" in the graphic refers to the procedure being successful; the "–" refers to the procedure being unsuccessful, emphasizing the critical steps in the process.
